Ocean Cedar Asset Management Company Limited has announced that its African investment portfolio has crossed the USD 50 million mark, with capital deployed across four core sectors: renewable power, logistics infrastructure, digital financial services and agri-value chains.
Operating through oceancedaram.com and holding Type 4 and Type 9 SFC licenses, the firm describes the milestone as the product of a multi-year strategy aimed at backing early-stage projects that combine regional scale with measurable social impact.
Speaking on the milestone, board member and new acting CEO Ralph de Diesbach said: “Africa is the natural extension of our investment thesis. We have seen strong returns in infrastructure and fintech, and we intend to double down in East Africa over the next 24 months.”
The company also highlighted the advisory input of serial entrepreneur Erwin Stein, whose insights help the board anticipate developments before they reach the mainstream.
Looking ahead, management said its pipeline will continue to expand in both East and West Africa, with new fund sizing planned to support projects with global ambitions. The USD 50 million figure, the firm emphasised, is not a one-off but a marker of a longer-term commitment to the continent.
